The Dance Industry for Parents

with Martha Nichols

When: Sept 16th, 2026
Time: 7:30pm
EST
Where: Zoom
Cost: $100

After 20+ years in both the professional dance and education industry, i'm here to say achieving the dream while maintaining your morals is possible.  I've done it.  Through these years, I've taught and mentored a lot of talented dancers. Helping them navigate the ups and downs of dancing as a career, I've learned that majority of their disappointment comes from misinformation and mismanaged expectations. The right actions in the wrong areas.

As a parent or advisor, how do you help guide them in an industry you don't know much about? How do you encourage them to properly prepare without sounding unsupportive? I'd love to help!

     We'll talk about...

           - what it means when people say "The Dance Industry"

           - what training your child actually needs to achieve their personal dream

           - the realities of a professional dancer lifestyle

           - making a livable wage

           - finding the right environments

           - family support, and more.

Pursuing dance as a career can be fun and sustainable but it does take work and intentionality to get there. Intentionality requires information and action.  This class will give you the information you need to help your dancer plan their next steps towards achieving their professional dance dreams. See you there!

                    In Christ,

                            Martha
